gladly use to void the warranty on something else, so that's one reason why people are reluctant. another is that it requires going under under the engine fuse/relay box, best done by someone who is good at such things. No-one has ever posted the schematic (someone kindly sent me one but possibly off by a page for my 2003 Aero), and you should have the schematic before you deploy your wirecutter. And if you screwed up the wiring, some tech would probably take you for one helluva ride to fix it. It's not plug and play by a lonmg shot.
A modified car shifts into the world of experts for service on the modified area, and you need to consider that. You are lucky if your Tech can follow the wirng diagram - give him/her something hacked, they could be lost.
Nothing wrong with doing it if you can live with all that, but if i knew exactly how to do it, I don't know if I'd be willing to assume liablity for everyone out there with a pair of pliers by selling a kit. They'd have my address when they slipped up and torched their car.
