I too was nervous about doing this mod, but it is no more difficult than installing a hitch wiring harness that isn't plug and play like the oem Saab one. I didn't cut any wires or splice anything. I used little connectors (don't know their exact name) that squeeze through the insulation to make the connection. Actually, my indy offered to try to solder the connection in, but the solder wouldn’t’ take to the factory wiring. I wrapped the attempted solder in electric tape and used the crimp connectors. My indy was concerned about the electric load on the connectors, but it has been over a year and no troubles. If I have to remove it, I could just put some electrical tape and it is all back to like new.
The only way I could see this being plug and play is with a custom plug that goes in place of the relay with a bypass for the relay and the crossover for the halogens. I am sure it could be made, but why would you want to spend the money.
This board can get one to do things they never though they could or would. I don't have a way to host it, but someone could host the wiring diagrams. They are on the WIS. You need this just in case your car has different color wiring that some other car.
