Alarm after pulling fuse

I didn't know I'd be spending so much time on here. I wrote a few days ago and got some good info on our problem being our CPS but we're getting the codes read today so I'll probably be on later with those. Right now though, another problem. We had pulled the fuse for the alarm a couple weeks ago due to the theft alarm going off. Last Friday we had a friend try to read the codes but his code reader wouldn't work, he did say the fuse to the lighter was out and replaced it (his code reader still didn't work) and I guess he replaced the alarm fuse while he was working because it started going off again this morning while my husband is at work. So he pulled the fuse again and called saying it stopped for a minute then started again! I didn't think this was possible because I thought the fuse was what gave the alarm power. The last time I talked to him he said it had finally stopped. Any ideas? Could this have to do with the CPS by any chance or is something else wrong? Any help would be appreciated, I feel like I'm quickly using up my saabnet.com "get out of jail free" cards!
