I think the seats are better in my CSE than in the 9-5 Linear, but the handling is a bit better in the 9-5. But then I'm comparing the 10 yr old 9K with 130K on it to an '03 9-5 with 48K.
One of the biggest differences is in NVH. The 9-5 is much quieter and more refined. When my 9000 gives up the ghost I'll likely get a 9-5 for my daily driver. Until then I'll just drive my wife's wagon when I get the chance.
However, come spring I have suspension plans for the 9K that should renew the handling and raise it a notch or two.
