A 9-3 was never equipped the same as a 9-5.... Posted by Mike Lynch [Email] (#81) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Mike Lynch) on Thu, 23 Nov 2006 10:50:24 In Reply to: What am I getting into? 9-5's always have dual power seats, CD and cassette, dual ACC, a more refined ride, tighter body structure. A 9-3 with cloth like has a non-power passenger seat, and knobs instead of climate control, minimal SID computer, and no subwoofers in the doors, sorta' minimalistic, not that there's any thing wrong with that, but a 9-5 is never minimalistic.
Ideally your choice of 9-5's will have the premium package which gets you memory drivers seat, fantastic Harmon Kardon sound, auto dimming inside mirror. If you wanna' go all the way a 2002 and up Aero has the fabulous sport seats, 250hp and more. The ultimate 9-5 has the touring package with xenons, park assist and rain sensing wipers and also has vented seats. 2005 IIRC is the first model year for navigation.
If you wanna' be cool, make it a SportWagon. Lotsa' folks love the V6's, some old Saabers and others like the fours.
Nothing to disqualify the pre mid cycle enhancements 2000-2001's, I'm very happy with my 2000 Aero SportWagon.
