I just put the wheels with snow tires on last night (old NG900 viking shield wheels). I had just picked them up at the tire place. Both
the wife and tire place were baffled why I wanted to change them myself.
I put a liberal layer of grease on the back of the snow wheels. I also
took out the rotor index screws and applied anti-sieze. Torqued wheels
on with torque wrench. The hardest part was actually removing the plastic lug nut covers (the bolts were badly rusted). I finely opted for
a pair of pliers and pulled each straight out and off.
Thanks for reminding us to check the donut. Even the tire places with their lifts and equipment don't take time for that.
