00 Aero Wagon - MPG dropped precipitously--please help!

I have been average around 21 mpg on premium fuel in my 00 Aero wagon. Today, I punched up the SID and saw...14.5 mpg! What the hell?!?!?
I thought long and hard about what could have caused it. Yes, we did have a ton of snow recently, but the slight loss of traction in snow (very slight, considering I have the Gislaved package) doesn't seem like it could affect me that much. So, these are my two current guesses--please help. If one of these sounds likely, say so; if you have a different idea, I'd love to hear it. Thanks!
1) Tire pressure on the Gislaveds. The striker plate on the door recommended 32 psi and the tires, as shipped, were all around 32 psi, so I standardized them at 32 psi and have driven them for the last 2 weeks at the pressure. Is that too low? Could this be causing the problem?
2) 87 octane gas--not much, though! In prepping to get the snowblower ready for winter, I had to dispose of about 1 - 1.5 gallons of 87 octane gas from this summer (from the mower). In the past, I'd always just put it into one of our cars which took 87. Now, though, all of our cars require premium. So, I poured it into the Saab's tank, figuring it had the highest capacity, so the ratio of 87 to 93 would be more favorable. I can't believe that 1.5 gallons of 87 octane would gut my fuel economy like this, but I don't have any other ideas.
I'd love to hear from you--thanks!
