Try a recalibration first.... Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Sun, 24 Dec 2006 06:56:29 In Reply to: AirFlow diverter ???, John, Sat, 23 Dec 2006 21:20:40 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
This involves pressing the "OFF" and "AUTO" buttons simultaneously. The HVAC computer will run a diagnostic test that requires under a minute, it will display the quantity of faults in the left side of the HVAC window, and will scroll through the code numbers of the detected faults in the right side.
It sounds like you may have code fault #08. This was a $1,000+ repair at one time to replace a $1 part (sound familiar?). It now can be repaired for under a $100, and sometimes is just a jammed lever (free).
Check http://www.thesaabsite.com for pictures of this repair and the inexpensive repair kit.
