Major decompress here...installed an HF850 today on a 2003 linear...2 hrs...gin and tonics now. Some pointers.
1. Parts: wiring harness from saab, bluetooth kit from motorola, radio removal tools from wallmark (made in china...so of course crap!), electrical tape, double sided tape
2. Steps:
- remove radio (tough but do-able with the wallmart junk...takes 5 mins)
- remove ACC...just pushes out from behind...no need to pull out SID!
- disconnect onstar...have to burrow into the carpet tape on the left side of the console...this is tricky cuz there is a locking lever on the connector...it's on the female side (saab side) and is locked in the 180 degree position...flip it down and all is well...this was the toughest part of the install!
- pre-wire your wiring harness and blue tooth wiring. this is pretty simple using preposted info plus the MOT manual. Beware...you MUST use the provided kit mike...forget using the ONSTAR mike...it works like crap! You'll use lotsa electrical tape or solder and shrink tape at this stage!
- plug in the wiring harness and plug the stereo back in....test your bt...does your mike work? do the speakers work? watch the polarity and connections! ID the best spot for your mike.
- if all works, unplug everything from the BT box.
- Fix your BT switcheroo and mike in a good spot for you. Run the wires back to the box, presumedly inside the console...i used an unused heated seat dummy to route them through...double sided tape is useful for the mike
- once the mike and switcheroo are set, plug the harness wire back into the BT box
- pop the BT box in behind where the ACC will go...it will fit snugly...no need for an external mount
- pop the ACC and radio back in
- only things showing will be a mike and the bt switcheroo

some watch outs:
- posted (here) wiring diagrams omit some "extra wires off the wiring assembly". just tape 'em and forget 'em. forget the mike stuff!
- the onstar connector is a bear to find. be patient...it's in the carpet tape!
- small hands are a plus....
