I have experienced the same thing with the seats, and I believe this thread has the reason it happens - good to know.
On irritant to me is why you have to hold down the memory button the whole time to adjust the seat from one position to another. If you and your partner have widely disparate seating positions you end up standing beside the car like a dork, hunched over pressing the button (I cant even get behind the wheel until the seat has moved some of the way).
I appreciate that a one touch adjust would be undesirable on the move, as you might accidentally trigger a memory setting that left you unable to control the car, but if the key is not in then why not allow one touch. Even better, have the adjustment work off the (personalized) remote like BMW so the seat is ready by the time you reach the car.
A small niggle - but getting these details right makes a difference.
