I'm not so sure that's the normal for a 100K miles? My 1993 Chrysler Imperial in 94K miles had the transmission fail (warranty), power-window mechanism driver's side ($60.00 junkyard), electronic dash cluster ($125 junkyard replacement), rubber fuel line rotted underneath car ($4). Other than that - brakes, belts, oil, filters, wiper blades, tires, etc. The cheapest to own car I've ever had - And I've had many. The $4 fuel line required a tow! I need to sell the Chrysler but I seem to use it like a pickup and for foul weather driving. Here in the NW, they put rock down when we get a dusting of snow and/or ice. Then for weeks, the flying rock trashes your car - so my SAAB Arc is parked for the time being. I hope I don't have $4000 repair bills in my future? That would surely make me consider buying something else.
