Sorry I meant to say its typical of other cars in the same class. I think it is typical of BMW, Audi and Mercedes C class cars ...
I hear you about the Chrysler Imperial! a sweet ride too. my '92 Bonneville has 280k and a fraction of the problems that we all see on our 9-5s. ditto my daughter's '92 cutlass supreme at 230k. they both have the original engine. trans. radiator, wheel bearings, TB, pulleys, tensioner, ignition modules, etc etc.
Of course I don't "like" to drive the bonne, really. and my daughter is always begging for the keys to the Aero. <shrug>
owning a dealer maintained Saab is going to run into a lot of money. But with this board and some DIY the car is very affordable and true pleasure.
