Don't they sell some sort of stop leak something or other for A/C systems? you could try that.

or better yet, if you know where the leak is, can you patch it with epoxy? JB Weld? Liquid aluminum? something like that? you don't have much to loose and it would cost you $5 and an hr of your time to try.

I know that I patched more than a few A/C leaks on my saabs over the years like that.

have you taken it to an A/C expert? You must have a few of those in FL. You know, A/C guys that are not just good, but real craftsmen. they might have less expensive solution.

failing that, prob best to sell it on this site to someone willing to take on the A/C task. If you trade it in, it will be misrepresented to the some buyer down the line and two people will end up getting screwed, you and the ultimate buyer.
