Regarding the speedo accuracy: The Revs/Mile number given by the calculator in the link Les provided is a considerably more accurate measure to go by. Speedo's are calibrated by pulses/mile. You have a given number of pulses per trans output shaft revolution (ie: one tire revolution) and the tire's revolutions per mile. It's straight math. If the tire has less revs/mi than the original, your speedo will read lower than actual speed (=> ticket more likely), if there are more revs/mi, the spped will read higher than actual (more likely to tick off aggressive drivers).
