It's a desirable Saab. I have on 03 Aero sedan and sometimes wish I had the wagon. I think it's the best-looking wagon on the road. My 03 has been very reliable. There were big changes in the 02 model, and the 03 is even better. If it's an auto it has the good 5-spd auto. The DIC problem was largely solved by 03. The car still has full content, before they started deleting little things. The 10-spoke wheels look great, although they're tough to clean.

Check it carefully for sludge and look at the oil change history. You may want to get the PVC #6 upgrade, which doesn't cost much. Check the bolts on the starter motor, which can work loose. If it's nearing 60K miles have the serp belt, idlers and tensioner replaced. I had to have the steering column replaced under warranty for the well-known "clunk". But other than that, it's a fast, reliable and hugely practical car. You'll love it.
