Yeah the Saab in Winter mode starts the car in 3rd gear. It will shift up to 4th and I think if you punch it once you're moving it will kick down to 2nd and maybe even 1st. You cannot do this in your minivan though. I don't know what kind of minivan you have or how it's set up but you most likely have Park, Reverse, Neutral, 3, 2, 1, or low maybe. In "1", it will stay in 1st gear all the time. In "2", it will start in 1 from a stop and shift only up to 2. In "3" it will start it 1st, shift to 2nd, then to 3rd, and won't go any further. It doesn't just stay in 3rd all the time when you have it in "3". I hope you know what I am talking about; it's kind of hard to explain.
