The 4spd autobox is both Japanese and rock-solid as well. And it uses plain old cheap ATF, not the expensive special stuff that the 5spd uses. I personally HATE Xenon headlights - they are NOT superior to the old style headlights with ecode lenses added ($120), and are quite expensive for bulbs and fixing.
I do agree otherwise, though I would say that for a really trouble-free experience, get a V6 9-5 and make sure the timing belt is changed on schedule. Many fewer issues than the early fours. In general, 9-5's are pretty bulletproof, though they certainly have a short list of "known issues". SID failure, DIC's, HVAC code 8 are the common ones.
