I managed to NOT avoid a pothole the size of a small canyon in a parking lot last summer, while driving my 2001 95 Aero Wagon. I was only traveling about 25 MPH at the time and was slowing to stop. I immediately had 1 flat tire and cracked rim and the second rim was bent and the wheel bulged. I replaced both wheels and tires, had the tire shop check the front end and they found nothing damaged. I still had bad vibration and wobble as well as loud thumping. Second tire shop determined one NEW wheel is bent, and that the rear shock was blown. Both wheels were bought new as OEM online. Determined after I finally INSISTED they check that there was scallopping in the front tires and did a front end alignment. Now I have a gradually worsening thumping and vibration and the best thing is my NEW UNBENT tire was balanced with 3 wheel weights.. something seems amiss???!!!???
Any suggestions? I am really getting tired of this issue. My thoughts are to repurchase from a dealer 2 new rims and a new set of decent tires ( these are yokohamas ...blame hubby for that!) and see what shakes out - literally...
