my 2 cents : at the dealer these repairs are astronomical. But they are very cheap and easy for the DIYer. use the dealer prices to bargina down the sale price, buy the car and fix it all yourself.
Left blend door problem. Code B2495
- easy fix. about 1/2 hr. coudld be broken stop arm ($25) or broken shaft (free fix available or $200 machined aluminum part from thesaabsite) search "code 08" dealer charges: $1300
Knock sensor shot, needs new DIC. Code P247
- 9-5 does not have a knock sensor, T7 senses knock through plug ionization (cool huh?) *might* need a new DIC or might just need plugs. worst case is a new DIC ~180 (I think?)+5 mins to install. check site sponsors.
I doubt that it is the DIC though, if the car runs ok. its more likely that there are non-NGK plugs in there, or they are horribly worn
dealer would charge $300 for the part plus 1/2 hr labor. but they would also throw in plugs and you'd but up over $400
Theft Warning, Siren Low Battery Code B1785
- easy fix, ~$50 for new batteries + time to pull the siren module & solder in the new batts. even easier: just have indy with Tech II switch from the chirper to the horn as the alarm device.
dealer would charge $350-$450 for a new siren module + hr labor.
Heater circulation pump is shorted to ground CodeB2380
- dont know what this is. sorry.
