if the DIC serial number falls within the range of those affected, and if your VIN falls within the range of cars included in the recall, you should have no trouble getting it replaced by any dealer.
FWIW I recommend carrying a spare DIC anyway. I bought a used one off of ebay shipped for <$50. I put the current DIC in the trunk (secured in an upright position) and installed the ebay DIC in my car. this way I have a known good one in the trunk as a spare.
