No, the V6 is more money if done as a stand alone job. Don't know what engine it is since so many posters never add that information in their posts, so I answered for a 4 cyl.
I don't keep track of the different flavors of badging that Saab decide to throw on the cars for different years and what comes with each flavor.
The thermostat is best done when the timing belt is changed on a V6 engine or when the engine oil cooler is replaced or resealed.
Together with the timing belt, it would end about that price or a little bit less actually.
