At least you don't have to drop the tank like most cars. It's accessed by pulling the tether on the back seat bottom. The pump ring will have to be removed. There is a special tool, but a good and careful person can get by without. A new o ring is a must if you pull the pump out. The old one will have swelled. If it has a baffle put it where it belongs. (trash can) What you are describing sounds like a baffle. I personnaly never had a single customer complain about fuel slosh noise. I have been lucky. That is what the baffle is meant to correct. IMHO it's not worth the trouble it causes.
Once it's out the sensor can be checked with a meter while moving the float. Saab doesn't sell the sensor card seperately for 95s, but someone might.
Suspension mystery sounds worse really.
