My squeelers starting just barely squeeling last week. I had an easter trip planned (2000 miles) and no time to do brakes before I left. so I went for it. We are back now and all is fine, no grinding. I plan to do the brakes this weekend.
BTW I took a look through the wheels, and I had about 1/8 " left on the outer pad. Of course you can't see the inner pad and it could have been much less. I used pliers to bend the squeeler out of the way so I didnt have to listen to that gawd awful noise.
I am going with Akebono ceramic. Looking forward to reduced dust but I have to admit, I wish that they had squeelers.
