the bottom of the wheel tilted outward (away from the car) is "negative camber". performance cars are generally speced with some negative camber. you can probably see it in your car from the rear.
the rear camber on our cars is not "adjustable" and this leads to wear on the inside of the rears and (comibined with aging shocks and/or out of spec toe) leads to cupping of the rear tires.
so heres what you can do:
1 - rotate the tires often ... every 3000 miles. this will greatly lengthen the life of the tires
2 - buy shims from genuine saab. they make the shims, and an alignment shop can install them. (you can install them too of course, but you would be "working blind" since you probably cant measure the camber in your garage)
3 - take it to a *good* alignment shop ... tricky since the shop is only as good as the tech that is working on your car that day.
4 - tell the alignment shop to set the rear camber as close to zero as he can get it (with the shims that you will hand him)
5 - consider new springs and shocks. the camber goes negative as the rear sags, and sometimes new springs and/or new shocks will add enough lift to bring the rear back into spec. NOTE: I consider this a drastic step ... seems odd to me that springs are becoming a "wear item" these days.
