My '03 Aero wagon is a low miler...had 22k on it just before the warranty ran out. $2200 for 4 years, 60K miles....
The car was just in to:
- have the shreader (sp?) valve replaced in the A/C as it wasn't blowing cold air, the SID was replaced as literally the day after the actual warranty ran out, the clock lost a digit
- the car got new motor and tranny mounts (I complained of idle vibration when in D....and now it's better than when it was new!!! I guess hydraulic ones wear out faster? Plus I park on a hill, putting angled stress on them while parked...maybe part of the wear issue?)
- new battery as the car was struggling to start after being parked for a week, not covered under the warranty
- new front pads and rotors, not covered under warranty
$1300 worth of parts and labor were covered....so at this point, I'm well on my way to making the right choice.
I love the car, plan on keeping it for a while...is there a better all around car than the Aero wagon? :-) As a car collector, I realize stuff wears out, premature or not, so it's par for the course.
Cheers,
Paul H.
