it's the sensors that go bad, the TPS, the throttle position motor, etc. They are integrated into the throttle body so when a $20 TPS sensor goes bad, you need to replace the entire throttle body.
Frankly given the fiasco of the TCS TB on the 9000 I would have liked to see a more modular design. granted our TBs are far more reliable, but still ...
