The G-05 is the only readily availiable formula which is compatible with the older Saab Blue coolant (which was a G-48 formula IIRC).
Dex-Cool has a bad rep, but only if you don't change it every two or three years. With regular changes, as specified for our Saabs, there is no reason to fear it. Plus, to properly change it out you would have to do a full coolant system flush and not just a "Drain & Re-fill".
Mixing anything else with Dex-cool "might" cause big problems (chemical incompatibility). Better to just stay with Dex-Cool and change as per our specified maintenance intervals.
