My 2001 9-3 came with Dex cool from the factory. It was a late production 2001 car and the earlier cars had the blue anti-freeze.
I changed it using new dex-cool as the earlier models with the blue stuff specified,(about 40,000 miles) even though the Dex-cool is suposedly good for 150,000 miles.
I now have 104,000 total and the Dex Cool is working just fine. It still looks as clean as when new with out the cloudiness that I associate with corrosion.
My point is that on cars where Dex cool was installed at the factory it seems to work just fine, and I'm satisfied using it for extended intervals.
