Has anyone else noticed this practice. I have been looking for a 2007 9-5 Wagon recently and have noticed several common traits among all area dealers. First of all the second any dealer is approached about price (pre-incentive) they all say the same thing, I will sell it to you for invoice. The funny thing is that the same exact car at different dealers varies by up to $1,000 on their invoice. Also the holdback from dealer to changes with every conversation. Wagon should be $785 and Aero Wagon should be $809 2.2% of Base MSRP. I actually had a dealer tell me that a Wagon with base paint had an invoice that was $600 more than an invoice quoted on a wagon with metallic paint a $490 less invoice price. They all say that GM changes there invoice all the time. I heard this is a newer car it has a higher invoice. Give me a break $1000 + increase on the same optioned car in the same model year. Also, you here over and over GM just took over this year, and everything changed, all pricing is so different than 2006. As far as I know, I though GM bought SAAB years ago. I also run in to the just sold the last wagon with the bonus cash syndrome. When I pressed one dealer on how the cars to have bonus cash were determined they gave me the following. I don't know if this is true or false. SAAB randomly selects 30% of all cars in a dealers inventory for 100 + days and sends the dealer a list. The dealer has no ability to change cars etc. The cash only applies if that car is sold by that dealer. Ie. dealer trades loose the bonus cash, even if that car was previously marked.

Any other pricing or recent deals on 9-5 will be helpful.
