Mike & Les, apologies for the delayed response. I understand that a release and second backwards slide of the switch is required. This is the way that I've been attempting to get the sunroof to slide backwards. I can hear a very quiet sound, as I slide the switch back a second time, almost like a small motor attempting to turn but stalling. I'm guessing that something in the rearward slide mechanism is binding, causing the motor to stall.
I'm hoping that someone can point me to a site that shows how to disassemble the sunroof.
Thanks,
Patrick
