for the Saab I4 engine. I don't mind it since every saab I have ever owned does it.
- At 77k it is certainly reasonable to expect some of the mounts to be worn.
- The torque mount should not have "a lot of play". how does the rubber look? cracked? shrunken? ripped?
in regards to vibration in general:
- Might as well inspect all of the mounts.
- Check the plug gap, and the plugs too for that matter.
- Clean the Throttle Body
- Check for vac leaks (small ones will cause rough idle etc).
As I said the I4 is known to idle rough in gear, but it should not be excessive.
