I had never bought snow tires before, but without them, the Aero doesn't really do very well in the snow. The dealer wanted to sell me 2 Gislaveds with their own wheels for the front, and they were a different size from the 225/45/17s that came with the car. I decided to go out on my own and try to find some Bridgestone Blizzaks or Michelin Artic Alpens for my wheels (the Aero alloy wheels are too cool to leave in the garage all winter). I had no idea this size was so hard to find. The only place I could get any winter tire at all in the 225/45/17 was at http://www.tirerack.com. I bought the Dunlop Winter Sport M2 @ $143 ea. and they work very, very well. Wow, what a difference some winter tires make!
