I posted awhile ago about my dad's 2004 Arc with 40k miles that has a ridiculously annoying squeak in the brake pedal when it is released. The car is CPO and was purchased in May, the problem didn't develop until July.

Trip 1 to dealer: Lubricated pedal assembly and said "all set". Squeak came back the next day.

Trip 2: Lubricated a different part and again said "all set." Came back the next week.

Trip 3: Service manager came up with some bullsh*t story about a rubber boot in the pedal assembly that was coming loose upon release. He said they replaced it and assured that it would be all set. The squeak came back on the ride home, and they bleached the black part of the front grill white when washing the car.

My dad called the service manager last week about the brake and the grill, still hasn't received a response. The frustrating thing is this dealer refuses to give a loaner.

I'm advising my dad to ditch this dealer and use my Saab dealer, (who do give loaners) but he wants it to be resolved there (and get a new grill).

I will repost if/when a solution is obtained. I'm glad my 9000 with 4X the miles doesn't suffer from retarded problems such as this!
