Speakers of that quality are not going to live up to their expectations with a stock amp/head unit. I don't know the specs on them, but I suspect their on the power hungry side. Remember, a system can only sound as good as its weakest link. So the amp, rear door and rear deck subs are all weak links when introducing the z6's into the equation.
You can investigate an amp replacement.. keep in mind this system uses a balanced output, so it would need some type of LOC (Line Out Converter) to take the balance feed from the head-unit into a conventional aftermarket amp.. (note: some amps may have an LOC built in)... Also keep in mind the stock amp has built in crossover.. So it may be delivering frequencies to your 6.5" speakers that are less than optimal for the z6's...
If the z6's have separate tweeters, they probably are designed to be mounted within several inches of the 6.5 midrange/midsub.. The factory dash speaker also carried some of the mid frequencies.. which could hurt the sound.. and create a midrange "hole".
Basslink will help with the low end, not the midrange. If you go that route keep in mind they have their own built in amp, so you'll need to factor in your plan regarding the rear doors & deck before choosing a suitable amp...
