the service adviser called me that day to say there was a problem getting the starter reinstalled. he told me that they had been working on it for three hours and that there was a stripped bolt on an electrical connection to the starter.

later when i showed up at the dealership all was good, my car was ready. the service adviser was not there, the service manager himself processed my payment and told me there was no problems with the starter and there were no extra labour charges. my $20 oil pressure sensor was installed - no more leak.

the very next day my wife and 10yr old were stranded on the side of the road.

i take it back to the dealer ask the service manager again about a problem with a stripped bolt on the starter wiring - he says it was a problem with another bolt, one of the bolts the secure the starter to the block. they cant find any problem re starting the car. maybe the starter is about to fail he tells me the next time i had the car in.

so tonight, after dealing with the car not starting every other day for the last month, i am checking the cable to the alternator as per the advice of mr glenday and i find a STRIPPED NUT/STUD on the starter electrical connection!

they lied to me. how can they do this and sleep at night. i am dumbfounded how they could send me on my way knowing here was serious problem with my car. one they are probably responsible for.

i am so pissed.
