Thanks all for the years of help, advice, and comraderie in the Saab 9-5 world!
I've truly loved driving my 2002 9-5 Linear wagon. Always enjoyed the turbo and always felt very safe. Silver, black interior, with Arc wheels, automatic.
Unfortunately, at only 65k miles, enough was enough. It had been towed 5 times in the last 18 or so months -- too often and for too expensive repairs. When you gety stuck with your kids 3 times -- things have gotta change.
The 2008 9-5 wagon is nice, but not differentiated enough from the '02. I've also wanted 4wd -- even using Gislavids, on the very steep hill I live on -- on really snowy days I would get stuck at the bottom.
So -- decided to try the 9-7x 4.2. I leased -- since I'm not completely convinced that I want to drive an SUV long term. And then there is that gas price thing (my college age daughter thinks I'm ruining the planet by getting the 9-7)!
The 9-7 board is way too quiet -- I would guess a different kind of owner in general.
Thanks again, enjoy Saabing! Pete
