Firstly, absolutely get the PCV #6 kit. Get it from eeuroparts.com or genuinesaab.com or your dealer where ever you prefer.
The kit will include the oil separator, and all of the hoses, check valves etc.
I found getting to the oil separator is .. err ... unpleasant. Its down under the intake manifold farther than you might think. Follow the hoses. Or get under and look up towards the manifold. It's not easy to see, but you can see it from below at the proper angle.
I've done it twice (PCV #5 and then PCV #6), and have done from the top and from the bottom. From the top its by feel. from the bottom you can see it a bit. fixmysaab.com has a good writeup on installing PCV #6
in regards to your clean oil leak, consider the oil pressure sender. It's behind the starter. take out the starter and its right there. Its a common leak, it will be clean oil, and will coat the rear of the oil pan, and drip on the cat (making a stinky mess).
