I still go round and round with whatever service department I'm working with, Saturn, Saab and now BMW motorcycles, on the severity of leaks. Dealer mechanics like 'em clean and dry. The tech is not gonna' see the car for around another 10k miles with today's longer service intervals so the presumption is that any leak, no matter how small and how expensive should be fixed.
That just doesn't work for higher mileage car. You have to quantify leaks. Is it just seeping or weeping, or is it actually causing on occasional drip, or is it leaking? As a used car and used motorcycle manager I always thought you were entitled to an older vehicle that wouldn't spot your driveway, not one that was clean and dry everywhere.
