My wife drives the Aero, and the 5spd auto is a great match for the car. The car is really quick with it. The Aero has plenty of punch at low speeds and highway speeds, and as others have stated the auto transmission is spot on for power and economy when need be.

I have a manual transmission in the 9-3, and punch is really there on the highway but it is sluggish from light to light. FWIW, the Aero is the first auto my wife or I have ever owned.

Also the CPO program is great, and if you are considering a warranty just go for the CPO as it is manufacturer backed with roadside assistance to 100k and the financing rates are quite good. I had an after market warranty on the 9-3, but the CPO on the Aero has been much better.
