(2000 9-5 aero w/100,000)Strange, my blower motor has a bushing on the end with the brushes and I'm assuming the other end is as well so as long as the shaft isn't loose it should be fine (for a while) with just new the new brushes. I just replaced them on mine with a set from Eb**(they're for a Porter Cable router, do a search on here to find the right number). One width is right and the other I sanded down with 36 grit sandpaper. I also took the length down with the 36 grit approx 3/8" to allow for the spring then used a Dremel to put the radius on the end. I bench tested it and all seems well, smooth and quiet, I just need the time to reinstall it. Good luck with yours.
