I have read the alarm threads for a while. My theory is the connection between the car's main harnes and the siren is intermitant. It works most of the time, but on occasion it goes open, which prevents the sirin batterys from charging and sets the service alarm. This is also why the sirine goes off for no aparent reason. It has lost connection with the mother ship.
My alarm has an occasional bout of wonkyness. When it gets warmer, and I have time I will pull the wheel off and clean the connections to the alarm module. I will also inspect the wiring harnes to make sure there are no chafed or loose wires.
Drive Safe,
Joe
