with the car running, hold down "auto" and "off" on the heater control panel- after 10-15 seconds, the display will change, and you will see a zero, or else you will see and "1" or a "2" etc, along with a code. The first # is the number of faults in the air distrib system, and the second itis the code for th fault. If you get "08" the problem is a small control arm under the dash, which can be replaced with about an hour of work, and the part is not expensive. If you get a zero, I can't instruct you. If a different code, search this board, last 6 months, someone posted a list.
Unfortunately, if the system is broken way up inside the dash, you are in for big bucks, for labor time. but the part I'm giving you should have been the dealer's firat recourse, and at one time, the 08 fault did require a major tear down. Now, no more.
