I had switched to the license plate tagwhen the inside one wasn't getting along with my V1 radar detector. The V1 worked fine, but the transponder didn't. But that is mostly in NJ, where they installed the fixed antennas differently than everyplace else, and they are not as efficient as they should be. It worked everyplace else...
But as a side effect of the plate tag, it makes going through toll booths easier & faster - especially those with gates (PA!) - with that tag 6 to 8 feet further out in front...
I do see a lot of people holding the tag up to the windshield. That's illegal in most E-Z pass states. No that they'll cite anyone...
I used to do the hook shot out the sunroof of my C900s back in the day with exact change lanes...
