My car is a 9-3 Viggen, not 9-5, and I also observed increase in MPG with Gislaved. Last year when it happened, I thought maybe something's not right, but it happened this year again. My summer tires are Kumho ASX and a little bit wider than Gislaved. Gislaveds are about half an inch taller in diameter. In terms of stickiness, definately Gislaveds are stickier, but a little noisier due to larger treads. This goes against so many conventional wisdom, I've been wondering what's going on. And it's more remarkable a number of other people are experiencing the same.
