Had my 1999 V6 9-5 SW in at my buddies indie Saab shop this week for the leaking oil filter problem.

He told me he thinks the car is missing a motor mount/damper that runs from the transmission back toward the frame. He pointed out the missing brackets and it sure looks like something belongs there (see photo blurry camera phone shot).

He said he would try to take note on the next V6 that rolls in to see if this is normal or not.

In our area 90% of the 9-5 that roll into his shop have the 2.3L and that transmission does have the same empty bracket but there is not another one on the frame to receive the other end of the missing mount/damper.

We looked up EPC and there were to many things on the page to really identify what the part number would be to make this question easier to answer. My Ari or other V6 owners can confirm if they have or don't have something in this location.

Myabe it's something for the eurospec diesels!
