Re: Where to find OEM Wheels? Posted by Larry West [Email] ![]() ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Where to find OEM Wheels?, Railhead ![]() ![]() |
Well, there is always the dealer, if ultimate OEM quality, as in New In Box is what you want. But you likely are not interested in spending $1,000 and more for a set.
eBay can be a good place to find wheels, and, of course, the Saabnet Classifieds.
Junkyards often have good quality wheels, and usually at a good price. If you look long and hard enough, good wheels are out there and cheap. More often than not, they are honest about the condition of the wheels.
One more item to think about for dealers - they often have "new/used" wheels collecting dust on their shelves. Customers will buy a new car, and buy the accessory wheels, and don't want the originals. Dealers often sell these 'take-offs' for less than brand new wheels. All they've seen is driving from the factory to the transporter to the boat to the transporter & around the dealership.
