WOW...Do you really live in the same "Michigan" I do? Seems incredible to read this, like its almost too good to be true....
I had the same concerns, wrestling with the issues with my OEM front suspension (2001 lpt wagon)..like it "appeared" that the fronts were ok. ie the car passed the physical jounce test.
But on the advice of a great "indie" that I go to here in W. Michigan, he stated that just having 2 new (KONI) shocks installed, would be like putting on 2 snowtires on the rear, instead of 4 (or some similar analogy).
So, I ordered the entire KONI suspension from genuinesaab. My process was also expedited by the fact the strut bearing went out...crrreeeeakkkkkking with every turn of the wheel.
WOWOWOW!!!!! Until you install the entire set of fronts w/rears, you'll never believe what you're missing. There's just THAT MUCH of a positive difference. I have never regretted spending the extra $$ to do it.
