Needed to change one on my new-to-me 2002 Arc. The plastic tabs were fine...
I didn't even know the plastic tabs broke off until I went to re-install the cover...
Maybe the cold weather was part of it, but fortunately my indie had the part with the metal tabs in stock, with five new bulbs...
Cover went right back on after that.
Maybe if the plastic is warmer they won't break as easily...
