What is involved in changing the rings? Is it only the piston rings, or do you also have to do something with the cylinders? I'm asking because, although very tough, it could technically be a DIY for someone determined - drop oil pan, undo the rod's from the crank, take off the head and pull the pistons out, change the rings and fit in reverse, right? It does seem too simple to me though, that's why I'm asking what else is there?
