Same kind of predicament: an elderly driver ran into our '00 Linear Wagon (had virtually every option imaginable..) while we were stopped at a light; about 40 mph or so, totalled the Saab. No injuries at all - no bruises, no scrapes, nothing. We spent about a month looking for a replacement, mostly through Saab's site (CPO'd cars) and on the Auto Trader site. It was last December, and there were LOTS of wagons to look at - more and more every day, it seemed.

We almost bought an '04 Linear wagon from a non-Saab dealer in Ohio, but although it was a decent enough car, it just didn't have much in the way of features.

We ended up buying an '04 Arc wagon from a Saab dealer near Boston; it was the end of the month, and we were able to get him to take $1K off the price AND to throw in a CPO warranty. We paid 16K total,& had the car shipped. Very happy with our "new" wagon. The clear CarFax and very routine Iris report made it an easy transaction to do, albeit long-distance.

FWIW, I always get a loaner when I take my Aero sedan in for service. Last time I got a brand-new Sport Combi. It was a nice car, but didn't have enough storage space for my taste. After a day of driving it, I was more than ready to give it back. It's looks didn't grow on me, either.
